Dr. Robert Walley, who passed in June, is joined by his wife Susan now in heaven.
Susan Mary Walley nee Samson passed peacefully away Thursday, August 27th with her children by her side. Susan is predeceased by her loving husband, Dr. Robert Walley, who passed away just 2 months ago. Also joining her in heaven is her special grandson Keegan her loving parents Margery & Reginald, and her dear friends Frank & Mary Brennan and Hugh & Pam Massey. She is survived by her 7 grateful and adoring children, Sarah (Bill), Simon (Danielle), Stephanie, Roisin (Cooper), David (Justine), John Paul (Michelle), and Peter (Amanda). Also mourning this great loss are her grandchildren who adored her Will, Calleigh, Matthew, Robbie, Kayla, Emma, Luke, Noah, Nicholas, Eve, Freya, Jude, Tahlia, and Zayn, as well as her brother John and of course her dog Charlie. Susan was a native of Guernsey in the Channel Islands, UK. She moved to Newfoundland with dad where her adventure as a Newfie began. She was an exceptional nurse before becoming an amazing mother, grandmother and a second mother to all our friends. Those who met her loved her. She will forever be remembered for her kind, gentle, loving manner, and of course her love of a glass of sherry. Susan met all situations with grace & poise, never a disparaging word. Miss you mum! Give Dad and Keegan a hug & kiss for us! A special thanks for their wonderful & compassionate care the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Also, much gratitude to Ann Connolly & Elizabeth Philpott for all their love, support and help with both Mum & Dad. Cremation has taken place. Susan will be waked privately at home Friday, September 11th and private funeral service to be held at St. Pius Tenth Church, Saturday, September 12th.
