As we approach the 2025 March for Life, MaterCare International reaffirms our commitment to protecting and celebrating the sanctity of life, from conception to natural death. This year, pro-life advocates across Canada and around the globe will unite under powerful themes that emphasize the inherent dignity of every human being.
Canada’s National March for Life: “Protection at Conception”
On May 8, 2025, thousands will gather on Parliament Hill in Ottawa for Canada’s 28th National March for Life. The theme, “Protection at Conception,” underscores the belief that life begins at fertilization and deserves legal protection from that moment. Inspired by Matthew 13:31-32, the theme draws a parallel between the mustard seed and the preborn child—both small yet full of potential.
The day will feature a rally on Parliament Hill, followed by a march through downtown Ottawa. Additional events include the “Save the Babies” Leaders Summit and the annual Rose Dinner Gala, where American pro-life author Emily Stimpson Chapman will speak on the importance of protecting life from its earliest stages.
A Global Witness
The March for Life movement extends beyond Canada, with events taking place worldwide. In the United States, the 52nd annual March for Life will occur on January 24, 2025, in Washington, D.C., under the theme “Life: Why We March.” This theme serves as a reminder of the value of life and the need for perseverance and unity in the pro-life movement.
Globally, marches are planned in cities such as Victoria, British Columbia; Birmingham, United Kingdom; Prague; Rome; Brussels; Lima, Peru; Lisbon, Portugal; and Zagreb, Croatia. These events demonstrate the universal commitment to defending life at all stages. Dr. Bogdan Chazan of MaterCare International has already attended the 2025 March for Life in Warsaw, Poland on April 27th (pictured).

MaterCare International stands in solidarity with these global efforts, emphasizing the need for comprehensive maternal healthcare that respects both mother and child. Our mission aligns with the themes of this year’s marches, advocating for life-affirming medical practices and policies.
We invite our supporters to participate in the March for Life events, whether in Ottawa, Victoria, or internationally. By joining together, we can amplify our message and work towards a world that values and protects every human life.
