MaterCare serves the needs of mothers worldwide, and we do all this from an office in St. John's, Newfoundland. Our office needs a new color printer and ongoing supplies, but we at MaterCare spend well below the industry average on administration, putting over 95 percent of all donations directly back into projects!

Dr. John Lee
Simon Walley, BA, MCPM, has been employed with MaterCare International since 2000, beginning as Public Engagement Coordinator responsible for promoting MaterCare and its projects related to maternal health in developing countries. Over the years, his responsibilities included fundraising, public awareness, volunteer coordination, initiating, editing and producing resource material, organizing international conferences and preparing national and international proposals and budgets.
Simon graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland where he majored in Political Science & History. In 2008, he completed a Masters Certificate Program in Project Management. Simon is currently the Program Manager for MaterCare International's Projects in Kenya and was the Program Manager for the Haiti Project.
Although born in Toronto ON, Simon lived most of his life in Newfoundland and considers himself 100% "newfie". He is married 14 years to Danielle and is the proud father of Robbie, Kayla, Emma and Keagan who sadly passed at a very early age.
